Laboratory Spectral Measurements

Spectral measurements in the laboratory are carried out on homogeneous small (e.g. 5 x 5 cm²) transparent and opaque samples.

  • Wavelength range of solar radiation 250-2500 nm (ultraviolet, visible, near infrared) by a grid spectrometer
  • Wavelength range of thermal radiation 2500-50000 (infrared, heat radiation) by a Fourier interferometer

Spectral measurements are used to calculate the radiometric and photometric properties for the solar range according to DIN EN 410 and for the thermal range according to DIN EN 674.

Examples are:

  • Thin layered coated glazing
  • Foils, membranes
  • Paint coats
